  • One of the first journalists when E24 was set up, a joint business-news venture between Aftenposten and VG.
  • Questioned whether Norsk Hydro's executive option payout in the Statoil merger was legal. Management gave up NOK 20 million in gains, and the chairman stepped down.

  • Just before the financial crisis, exposed how Acta misled customers on risk and cost. The company's 17-page complaint to the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission was rejected on every point.

Leading the newsroom

  • Led a business desk of about 20 journalists and designed the relaunched Økonomimagasinet (2013).
  • The desk had the newsroom's highest 'nearest leader' score in Great Place to Work: 85 points, two years running.

  • Led the newsroom's digital spearhead group, building skills and motivation among 200+ editorial staff.
  • Introduced 'structured articles', which consistently won more readers and longer reading time.

Building from zero

Head of content marketing, then content innovation, Aftenposten

  • Started a content studio from scratch serving Aftenposten, Bergens Tidende, Stavanger Aftenblad and Fædrelandsvennen.
  • Product, editorial ethics, sales, creative work and hiring. Revenue grew from zero to about NOK 25 million.

  • Heads the Communications competence centre: five departments, 120+ communications professionals in Norway and international markets.
  • Member of the management committees for communications and for the Functional Centre of Excellence (2,600+ people).

Manager, corporate communications (digital engagement), Equinor

2017–2021
  • Responsible for equinor.com, social media, strategic design and corporate content.
  • Moved the web from a complex Adobe CMS to a headless CMS on Sanity; built an analytics framework for always-on social.
  • Turned around weak employee satisfaction scores, 2017 to 2019/20.
  • A leadership-programme project on sustainability-linked financing led to an ESG-linked KPI in Equinor's credit facility (2021).
